The filters of the reinforced series are ideal
for plasma and laser cutting processes, as well
as for aluminium and titanium smoothing and
glazing procedures, which generate magnesium
dust.
A considerable concentration of this kind of
dust may originate a deflagration, which the
reinforced filters can resist, thanks to their
reinforced structure and to calibrated systems
for overpressure venting.
Unlike the ECOLINE STANDARD series, the REINFORCED
series features a spark trap for fumes and dust,
separated from the filter main frame, in order
to prevent any risk of inflammability of the
explosive mixture. The trap itself is reinforced
and is equipped with a steel wool pre-filter.
From the spark trap the dirty air reaches the
upper extremity of the filter through a series
of galvanised pipes, after flowing through a
diverter, consisting of a flow chamber which
enables the dirty air to get out of the inner
pipes, but avoids the risk that some overpressure
air caused by an explosion might return into
the pipes and be released inside the plant,
with consequent damages to people or machinery.
The upper part of the flow chamber features
a calibrated venting membrane which breaks automatically
if the inner pressure exceeds the pre-set value
of 0.2bar. After flowing through the diverter,
the air enters the filter main frame, consisting
of a sturdy electrowelded monobloc frame, with
a layout similar to the standard version. The
upper part of the dirty chamber features one
or more membranes like the ones in the diverter,
though of different size, which ensure a correct
venting of the overpressure air exceeding 0.2
bar, due to deflagrations.

In
case of break-down, one or more sensors installed
on the membrane cut off the electrical power
supply to the cleaning system and to the motorfan.
The whole filter is provided with electrical
jumpers in order to ground any eddy currents.
Unlike the ECOLINE STANDARD series, the electrical
wiring of the REINFORCED series is external
to the filtration unit, for safety reasons.
External installation is obligatory.
